The Stats:
Today was a cake walk. Short day hike to Mormon Lodge over gentle land. There were a few shallow snow drifts, but our feet stayed dry until the Navaho Springs connector Trail. That one had more snow and water running down the trail with no dry walk around in a couple places.
We are camping here tonight in the camper after we take our motor bike to a trail angel’s house in Flagstaff. He generously consented to us parking it there.
The logistics of the camper/bike shuttle can be a bit draining at times. It takes effort and keeps us tied to everyday life when hiking a long trail should do the opposite. Every time we get back to the camper we keep feeling like we should go home and go back to work. So, if we continue on from Flagstaff, we are going to put our rig in storage and fully embrace the hiker hobo life.
