The Camino Frances is the most famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. It spans approximately 500 miles from Saint Jean Pied de Port in France all the way across Spain to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. We extended this walk by hiking all the way to the sea. This ancient and historical path featured diverse and beautiful landscapes, rich culture and great pilgrim infrastructure. We stayed in small quiet pensions and more bustling hostels, called albergues. The best thing about our walk though were the people we met and the community of walkers that we became part of. We walked in April and May of 2026.
The following link will take you to a slideshow of our our walk.
